Kensington Voice reporter Emily Rizzo shares the results of her investigation into Mayor Parker’s nearly year-old “fast-track” court, which allows police to take people struggling with addiction and homelessness in Kensington into custody for low-level offences, such as public intoxication or obstructing the sidewalk.
The court tries to get people into treatment, but very few people are completing the program, Rizzo found after tracking the data.
Rizzo spoke to Hall Monitor reporter Vanessa Maria Graber on our Dec. 17, 2025 livestream.
Education reporter Lisa Haver also spoke to Hall Monitor co-hosts Larry McGlynn and Denise Clay-Murray about the Philadelphia school district’s plans to sell some of its property and close some schools.
